3 Simple Mindset Shifts To Help You Scale Your Business.

This week on the BADASS BUSINESS PODCAST Cora-Lynn Hazelwood is sharing 3 simple things we can implement each day to start to set our businesses up for success. 

Over the last year, my role with Badass Business Babe has been pretty simple. Increase revenue, increase our time freedom and increase our impact in the online space. 

I've been obsessed with optimization since before I can remember. I've always sought out life hacks, business hacks and mindset hacks as a way to ensure that I was showing up as the best possible version of myself. 

When I left the corporate world with a dream of running my own business, I knew that I would have to overcome a lot of mental hurdles, be willing to learn a lot of new things as I went, and that numbers and optimization would become my secret weapons. 

What I didn't realize when I started this journey was just how much my mind, it's programming and conditioning would play a role in my ability to create wealth and success. As I've shifted from optimizing myself, to optimizing myself and building a million-dollar business, these are three things that massively impacted my income and my impact. 

1) YOU ARE NOT YOUR BUSINESS.

When I first started building a business online I had this idea that I was my business. If an idea failed, I failed. If I had a low-income month, my value was less. If an offer didn't sell, I felt defeated as a woman. It took me a short while to realize that this mentality wasn't serving me. I realized pretty quickly that businesses fail every single day, ideas fail every single moment but what's important is that you get back up and try again. 

When I created separation in my mind between myself and my business things shifted. My business was no longer attached to my identity meaning my worth as a woman was not impacted by the success, or lack thereof, of my business.

The business is separate from me completely. This allows me to show up with NON ATTACHMENT and NON JUDGEMENT to all aspects of it and created boundaries for me to view my business objectively focusing more on the FACTS of what was working, rather than the FEELINGS I had. 

2) CAN I AUTOMATE THIS? CAN SOMEONE ELSE DO THIS FOR ME? 

We all want TIME FREEDOM and in order to do that, we need to allow other people to step in and do some of the key elements of our business. The story we tell ourselves that says "only I can do this task" only works to LIMIT our ability to scale and grow. 

Ask yourself every single day "what did I do today that I can automate" and start delegating when you have the resources to do so. If you are not there yet, start a list NOW of those things that you want to outsource when you are generating revenue. 

HIRE PEOPLE. SOMEONE CAN DO IT BETTER. 

UNLESS YOU KNOW TO YOUR CORE THAT IT IS YOUR GIFT - OUTSOURCE IT.

 

3) ASKING FOR SUPPORT - FOR HELP - FOR MORE ANSWERS 

First, asking for support isn't always hiring someone. You can ask for support in exchange for your gifts. Ask women to give you feedback on your branding. We have this idea that the only exchange that's valuable is the exchange of money - but it's the exchange of energy that matters. Sometimes it's showing up in the space of simply ASKING for support FOR FREE is MASSIVE. 

Turn to books, to people who do what you're pursuing, to libraries, to forums for support if you're not in a financial position to invest. Stop restricting the way in which you get help and start asking for it. 

Be less attached to how you get support.
